You stated that John Houston (immigrant) is the grandfather of Henry H. Houston. However, this means one's grandfather is 130 years older that him, which is unlikely. In addition, such is not supported by Geni.com, though it is not a reliable source to be cited in Wikipedia directly. GZWDer (talk) 17:57, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, GZWDer this is a mistake - the source said that HHH's grandfather was Dr. John Houston of Columbia. I will remove that content. Thanks for the heads up.–CaroleHenson (talk) 04:54, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hughstown or Houston[edit]

Regarding the edits to change the name of the town:

  • Haley states that the area was known as Hughstown here
  • I think it's very likely that this is supposed to be Houston, but I am having a hard time finding a source that ties together that Sir Hugh + estate in Renfrew(shire) (received from Malcomb, king of Scotland) + now Houston.

So, for right now, I copied the text from Haley into the note and added a citation needed tag to "Houston".–CaroleHenson (talk) 01:10, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A little more digging and I found the info right here in Wikipedia. See Hugh de Paduinan... and a source here.–CaroleHenson (talk) 01:19, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
