Marriages[edit]

Can somebody clear up the information about Marshall's marriages? The article says she was married three times but only identifies two husbands. The article also says she divorced Ashby in 1971 and remained married, albeit separated, to him until his death in 1988. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.229.22.158 (talk) 13:04, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of death[edit]

There's no cause of death listed because, simply, I could not find any source that provided how she died. If someone could provide a reliable source with that content, I would be more than happy to have it included. In the meantime, any questions shouldn't be posted in the article itself. I have a hunch that some idiot confused her with "Joseph Marshall" a dancer who did die of AIDS as per this article http://www.ew.com/article/1994/12/02/faces-aids-1994 Joan Marshall did NOT die of AIDS. There is no credible source for her cause of death. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertoff (talkcontribs) 17:16, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

About the dubious tag[edit]

I added the dubious tag about her marriage info. It currently reads, "Marshall married director Hal Ashby in August 1969; the couple remained together until Ashby's death in 1988." For one thing, the words, "remained together," implies that they lived together for all of those years, not that they stayed married without getting a divorce. Better wording would be that they "remained married", if they in fact did so. The problem is that the source of the info is IMDb.com, which is not considered a reliable source for information such as trivia or biographical details; however, IMDb does require information submitted about vital statistics (like DoB and marriages), to be verified by a reputable source. And it no longer states the part about being married until Ashby's death. In fact, it gives another marriage in 1978. So it's all dubious as far as I can see. Isn't there an obituary available somewhere? __209.179.9.46 (talk) 19:03, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
