Merge discussion[edit]

I want to merge A great night in Harlem into this article. I really don't see why that article is even separate from this one. Any opinions? --I dream of horses (T) @ 17:37, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Jazz Foundation of America is a Non-profit organization that works to save the homes and lives of Jazz musicians. The page being created "A great night in Harlem" is a specific event at the Apollo theater, which though linked to the JFA is a separate topic with a yearly breakdown of guests, musicians and other various aspects that deserve specific attention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JFA2009 (talkcontribs) 17:38, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think they should be two different articles. --Funandtrvl (talk) 21:06, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional tone[edit]

The article reads like promotional material. I had already removed some text that was apparently copied directly from the organization's website. The remainder of the article reads like a re-write of that website; as such it isn't a copyvio (as far as I've checked) but on the other hand it isn't sufficiently neutral.
