Original Research[edit]

This page reads like an essay someone wrote through original research. I nearly removed all the content under the 'Overview' section due to a failure to meet Wikipedia's standards. But I believe the author acted in good faith and apparently s/he put a lot of effort into creating that section. So I will contact the author and inform him/her that this article needs to be cleaned up to read more like an encyclopedia article than an academic essay. --Aristotle1776 (talk) 16:33, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe there is an error in the attribution of the four daughters of Joseph Eliot and his first wife, Sarah Brenton. Mother-in-Law Martha is listed as mother of the four daughters rather than her daughter, Sarah. If Martha were, indeed, the mother of the four, her daughter Sarah should have been listed among them(Mtngra (talk) 18:51, 24 May 2010 (UTC)).[reply]
