disambiguation[edit]

I suspect the change to being a disambiguation page was a mistake. We don't have an article on Jacob Epstein (spy) and I can't find any references to him — is it possible someone has got confused with Joseph Epstein (French Resistance leader)?

In any case, the sculptor must be far more famous. I would suggest this is a primary topic Disambiguation. -- Solipsist 07:51, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well we now have a article on the spy, but it still looks like he is of dramatically less significance. Even a google search for "Jacob Epstein World War" only brings up references to the sculptor and other unrelated Epsteins with no mention of the spy. So moving back to primary topic disambiguation which will also repair 95% of the internal links. -- Solipsist 06:42, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please be advised the purpose of the disambig was so no one would confuse Joseph Epstein (sculptor) with Joseph Epstein (spy), which is a distinct possibility since release of NSA archive materials. We in no way would sanction casting defamitory aspersions upon an innocent man. And it is a possibility, given certain biographical details that parellel other than a common name; they both were born in New York environs of immigrant parents; both travelled to Europe roughly the same time; both can be considered of the WWII generation, etc. These factors almost confused me while researching the subject, but to someone not having that purpose in mind, it could be ambigous. Given the nature of espionage and secrecy, please keep these factors in mind. Thank you. nobs 18:28, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
