Funny that![edit]

Funny that the male version is entitled "You Will Return", and the female version "I Will Wait".

Seems like a deadlock situation. Maikel (talk) 12:35, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing unusual - it's rather complicated task to translate a song to another language, often it involves some cultural references and traditions. And translator still has to keep some rhyme and match music. Think that the original italian was "tornerai!" which means "come back!" - same as German. While French is "I shall wait". Doubtful there was an intent of getting "male and female versions" or that it was originally associated in any way with sailors/etc. Just like a lot of other rather neutral songs like "Erika"/"Karina"(finnish guys always change names in the songs for some reason) or "Edelweiss"/"Orvokki" (almost impossible to find finnish lyrics for it, btw) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.94.109.54 (talk) 11:43, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Madama Butterfly[edit]

The music is actually quite similar to the Humming Chorus of Madama Butterfly. Was it acknowledged by the composer ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.123.208.240 (talk) 19:41, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tornerai[edit]

I think the page should be called "Tornerai". And "J'attendrai" should be redirected to the "Tornerai" page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.123.208.240 (talk) 13:34, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tino Rossi[edit]

Tino Rossi, listed under the heading "Hot Club - Gypsy Jazz versions" is not a Gypsy Jazz artist; he was more of a romantic balladeer.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:301:776D:2590:8DBF:169:6299:30C (talk) 23:45, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
