Just wondering, which guideline was being followed when the link to Frog Peak was removed? See edit here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ivor_Darreg&diff=243749680&oldid=242315299 Was it the guideline http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:EL "[avoid] Links to sites that primarily exist to sell products or services..."? If so then shouldn't the Frog Peak link also be removed from the References section? On the other hand, when the products for sale are the works of the article's subject, Ivor Darreg, which are not easily located (being that he is both deceased and obscure), and the single page being linked to doesn't promote any other products, isn't the URL valuable information appropriate to leave in, maybe with an advisory note next to the link?

Also wondering, the footnote following the sentence "Frequently he [Ivor Darreg] published his writings in his own Xenharmonic Bulletin.[1]" points to John Chalmers' page on Frog Peak, perhaps because copies of Xenharmonikon are sold there, but those publication titles are different and no mention is made of Ivor Darreg as creator of, or contributor to, Xenharmonikon on John Chalmers' page, and the Xenharmonic Bulletin is not mentioned there either. Is there confusion between publication titles? Even if the external link is removed, the title issue should be cleared up and cited in this article. Does anybody have a copy of either of those publications that carries Ivor's name that they could cite? That would help. -- Another Stickler (talk) 16:43, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
