Fleet List[edit]

Based on my past experiences, does this article really need a fleet list? There are two well-sourced fleet lists that have links, on the Ipswich Buses website, and the Ipswich Bus Page site. Maybe this article only needs a simple fleet summary, as it would save time and space. Dennisman (talk) 10:23, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article Photo[edit]

The main photo for this article is beginning to look a little out of place - R197DDX departed the fleet a long while ago!

I'm just wondering if anyone would be able to provide a more up-to-date photo? An image of one of the more recent additions to the fleet would look great, for example. Unfortunately I personally don't have any Ipswich Buses photo's that i'd be able to provide and i'm not entirely sure of how to upload one to the article!

Many thanks. MRT9P (talk) 19:08, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've asked around, and had a look on Flickr, but to no avail sadly, I can't find any freely licensed images. You could try asking a Wikipedia user that lives around Ipswich, it could be worth a go? Arriva436talk/contribs 21:19, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
User:PeterEastern might be worth a try - he's uploaded some photos of the Kesgrave busway. Arriva436talk/contribs 21:21, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem - I do live in the town and will take one and unload it soon. If I don't do so in the next week then remind me on my talk page! PeterEastern (talk) 03:04, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, this will help. To be honest, we could probably do with a handful of images of different types, double-deck and single-deck etc, but I think actually having one up to date image would be a good start! Arriva436talk/contribs 14:50, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have updated the lead image and uploaded a single decker photo to commons. Feel free to use them as you see fit.

That's excellent, thanks for your help. By chance, the very single-decker you photographed was the same one I photographed at a bus rally back in 2009. However, back then it was in that terrible special metallic purple and green livery for route 13, which they've now got rid of, so it wasn't suitable for the article. It will provide a good comparison though when I eventually get round to uploading those photos! Arriva436talk/contribs 16:45, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for supplying the updated images, this is much appreciated. MRT9P (talk) 21:06, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Overcoloured[edit]

Resolved
 – Redrose64 (talk) 22:33, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've marked this page as overcoloured. This is principally to do with the "Number" column in the "Urban routes" table, and the "current livery" column in the "Fleet" table. My concerns are in two main areas: first, that the colour contrast (or lack thereof) may make the information difficult to read; second, that in the "Urban routes" table, no explanation of the colour scheme has been given. Lesser concerns are that blue, red or purple numbers may be mistaken for links to other pages. If the colouring should remain, please ensure that it meets WP:COLOUR. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:49, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Updates by JOW699[edit]

According to [1] JOW699 "works closely with Ipswich Buses therefore felt it was appropriate to update this page as he has accurate and correct information from the Managing Director".

JOW699: information on Wikipedia must be verifiable. As readers can't realistically check up with your managing director, the information should be published elsewhere first, typically on https://www.ipswichbuses.co.uk/ in this case. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 11:13, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
