Untitled[edit]

The photograph is clearly incorrect. Ibicella lutea has yellow flowers. The plant shown is almost certainly a species of Proboscidea. Plantphotographer (talk) 15:28, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's one of the disadvantages of Wikipedia. We rely on self-identified plants by people who may not be experts. I'll remove the photo from the page (feel free to do the same when you run into them!). Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 23:41, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Monotypic?[edit]

Is this genus monotypic? The article was moved from Ibicella lutea to Ibicella with the justification that the genus is monotypic. The Plant List (not that I entirely trust that reference) has two other species. Tropicos also lists the two other species ([1], [2], although they are apparently little mentioned in the literature. From the dearth of references to the other species in Tropicos, I assume that the genus may indeed be considered to have only one good species, but I don't have a reference confirming this.Plantdrew (talk) 16:31, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
