Fighting Speedy Deletion[edit]

iFixit is used as a reference throughout Wikipedia, I figured this was enough to put it as an article. How can users know how viable a resource is, if the resource itself is not on Wikipedia? Nat (talk) 19:28, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of iFixit Educational Collaboration Section[edit]

I am doing an assignment for a senior level technical writing course at my university for my engineering curriculum. This will be a large section (around 2700 bytes) and I need it for a grade.Msn1119 (talk) 00:38, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but there were too many problems with your addition.
To start with, articles should mainly summarize reliable independent sources. iFixit's own website is not independent, and the single citation did not fully support the added material.
Further, material should be written from a neutral point of view, which means that promotional wording, press-release like language, and business cliches should be avoided. From that, material should be succinct, and a disinterested reader should get a clear understanding of why specific details are being mentioned. Your addition included many details, but did not indicate why this matters to iFixit as a topic. Grayfell (talk) 21:43, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Revision and re-addition of iFixit Education Collaboration[edit]

I revised my contribution and added/ subtracted information on the subject of educational collaboration so that it may potentially better adhere to Wiki guidelines. If this is not properly composed, I will not fret its deletion. Msn1119 (talk) 19:06, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
