Hook Rail Freight Terminal[edit]

The article claims that there is a branch to the west of Hook station, leading to "Hook Rail Freight Terminal". From OS and aerial photographs, I have been unable to identify any junction between Hook and Basingstoke and am therefore keen to remove the claim from the article. A google search for the freight terminal identifies only this article. Unless other editors object, I will remove the statement from the article at the weekend. The reference to the rail freight terminal has now been removed. Mertbiol (talk) 09:30, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

444 car stop query[edit]

I wonder if someone could help me? (I'm not a railway buff.) On the London platform of Hook station, there's a "4 car stop" sign and an "8/12 car stop" sign. No problem with those. Between them is a "444 car stop" sign. I don't know what this means. Lighten my darkness, please. Nunquam Dormio (talk) 10:17, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
