Wrong lead actor[edit]

Alec Guinness played Adolf Hitler in this movie, not David Graham. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.144.169.43 (talk) 01:52, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Synopsis"[edit]

It's not a synopsis. The article seems to consist of little more than complaints about alleged inaccuracies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.49.36.18 (talk) 19:17, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. This article is just a film snob's rant. It needs help. 70.181.184.237 (talk) 06:37, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

VHS-DVD[edit]

I've looked around, and couldn't find any evidence of a DVD release, and eBay posted the VHS as being rare. Does anyone know why?--Spencer "The Belldog" Bermudez | (Complain here) 14:17, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

youtube phenomenon of hitler downfall video[edit]

This is the film in which tonnes of people made parody films by replacing the subtitles where Hitler is yelling in his office, right?

Probably worth mentioning because there are hundreds of such videos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.212.41 (talk) 01:02, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, Those parodies used a famous scene from the German language film Downfall (aka Der Untergang) released in 2004, which also dealt with Hitler's last day in the bunker. --Cab88 (talk) 05:29, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crap[edit]

I once read, I forget where, that during the filming of this movie, while on a break, Alec Guinness in Hitler garb was approached by a German man who mistook Guinness for the real Hitler. The man began to hug and kiss "Der Feuher" and while weeping, took out his medals that he received during the war to show "Hitler". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.80.150 (talk) 15:57, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Right - a German soldier just happened to be wandering around England's Pinewood Studios with all his war medals in his pockets. 98.67.176.187 (talk) 02:18, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
