The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page to the proposed title at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 04:03, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Inclined to oppose (as both article creator and local resident). I'm not convinced that map entries alone are sufficient grounds for a move, nor do I agree that we should necessarily have articles about settlements rather than civil parishes. The village does not appear to be well signposted but visitors are greeted with a "Parish of Hilldale" sign [1]; scant media references also refer to "Hilldale" [2][3]. This is probably one of the places formerly written as two words but now written as one. I've looked at an area with a few names of this type (the Borough of Rossendale) and Ordnance Survey has changed some to the more common form but not others. The parish was created recently and is likely to have the name in use at the time. Peter James (talk) 20:21, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So it could be the case that the settlement is now more commonly known as "Hilldale" which is why its parish is spelled that way but the OS hasn't updated yet. Maybe this is the case with Luddendenfoot and Boulderclough. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:14, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
