Untitled[edit]

He wasn't a descendant of Peter I. I'm changing to line to Henry II, who was both a notorious redhead and the real founder of the House of Trastamara. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.26.120.40 (talk) 19:04, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Appearance[edit]

Why does it say his appearance of blue eyes and reddish-blonde and auburn hair come from Leonor of England when in other articles of his families it says it comes from King Peter of Castile? Which one is it? And Leonor lived more than twelve generations before he did. Plus it sounds like this is saying that it's suppose to be a suprise that Spanish royals can have fair skin, blue eyes, and reddish-blonde and auburn which is racially stereotyping the Spanish people. Is there any source to this at all?--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 03:50, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Correction?[edit]

"the majority elected him to be King of Castille on 11 August 1462." Shouldn't this should read 'King of Aragon', not Castile, of which he was already King? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.116.220.67 (talk) 14:58, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the Marriage to Blanche section, it says Alvaro de Luna was executed on May but on Alvaro de Luna's page, it says he was executed on June. Which one is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.123.9.58 (talk) 06:44, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

King of Castille[edit]

In the' King' section, in the last paragraph, the phrase "the majority elected him to be King of Castille" doesn't make sense. It seems to be "the majority elected King of Castile to be Prince of Catalonia" the right phrase, but I cannot document it, could someone correct it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ArisMethymna (talkcontribs) 14:05, 4 May 2016 (UTC)Aris de Methymna (talk) 14:15, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@ArisMethymna: I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I can tell you that that section was awkwardly worded, likely from it being translated a bit crudely. I tried a reword, though it could use a once-over by someone with knowledge of the subject to make sure I didn't misunderstand the meaning. Once again, it would be helpful to the rest of us if you used edit summaries. And please don't forget to sign your talkpage posts with ~~~~. Eric talk 15:37, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have reworded it yet further to clarify whose son died and who was elected count of where, with a source. Henry was indeed chosen to become count of Barcelona. Huon (talk) 02:21, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Huon. I tweaked a typo in your edit. Did I get it right? Eric talk 18:25, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for fixing it. This was what I meant but got wrong. Huon (talk) 01:53, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
