This article should be deleted. It's completely biased, POV and none of the links work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.23.241.143 (talk) 18:39, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I question the elements of this article which attempt to define a geographic center for the Heartland.[edit]

I grew up in California in the early 1970's, and I have a distinct memory of people using "the heartland" not to refer to any geographic center, but to refer to farms and farming regions. Even today, the phrase "California Heartland" is used to refer to the farming regions of the Central Valley of California. (For example: http://www.visitcalifornia.com/trip/californias-heartland)

It seems that more recent attempts to redefine the "Heartland" as a geopolitical center rather than as one that obliquely refers to farming and the culture around farming misunderstand this earlier use, and it may be nice if the article could be reworked to discuss this evolution of the term.

Nonsense[edit]

"One part of this is the Suburbs, the United States Census Bureau has found to be Middle-class." - What does this even mean? Jbunniii (talk) 06:34, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
