Merger proposal[edit]

We seem to have two overlapping articles. Heanor, which is a much better (and concise) article than this one, and conforms at least in part to WP:UKCITIES and this one which is actually a long rambling history of a parish council. It is one of the worst articles I have seen in a while! There are almost no citations and it contains excessive detail on councillors, and we definitely don't need the name of the former tree warden, or to know about the no smoking policy in council meetings! I would suggest it be severely pruned and added to Heanor under the "governance" section of Heanor.Lozleader (talk) 22:33, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Current thinking is to separate parish articles from redirects if they aren't the same name as a settlement, but I've rewritten this to avoid making this a local council specific essay. The Equalizer (talk) 01:08, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
