Sponsor?[edit]

How can a company which went defunct in 1924 (according to Haynes Automobile Company) have sponsored a race since 1977? - Brian Kendig (talk) 15:51, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree, seems absurd. A quick look finds no sponsorship from the (from everything else apparently long defunct) company. Unless substantiating evidence is presented, claim should be removed. -- Infrogmation (talk) 23:12, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ten seconds of Googleing revealed the "Haynes Apperson Festival" at "Haynes-Apperson Field", which does include a walk-run but is only commemorative of the Haynes-Apperson company at best (though they did have the ever popular Starship perform last year which certainly should warrant some mention on this page :-) this claim should clearly be removed Cousband (talk) 00:03, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • I have been bold and rewritten the secion accordingly. -- Infrogmation (talk) 01:28, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
