B&V aircraft[edit]

Most of the aircraft designed and built by this company appeared during its time as a subsidiary of Blohm & Voss and carrying the name of that company. But it was Hamburger Flugzeugbau both before and after that period. The earliest (1933-37 period) types, such as the Ha 135 to Ha 137, should surely be noted here, as well as later (post-1956 period) types such as the HFB-320 Hansa Jet. But what about the bulk of "BV" designated types? Should they be listed under Blohm & Voss or here or both? Few sources discuss all three periods and those that do, such as Pohlmann's Chronik Eines Flugzeugwerke (Story of an aero manufacturer) have no need to make the choice but simply run through them all. Gunston's World Encyclopedia of Aircraft Manufacturers treats them as three separate entries but duplicates discussion of the early Ha types in the B&V entry. I have added a fair bit of duplicated material to both the Blohm + Voss article and to this one, but what needs trimming back from where? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 08:15, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This should be the main article for their aircraft manufacture as it was always this subsidiary/section of B&V responsible for this. --Denniss (talk) 10:07, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comment. Now done. Let's see how folks react. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 10:18, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
