Origin of the name[edit]

This article says Hainault comes from Hyneholt and has no connection with Hainaut in Belgium or Philippa of Hainault. The article on Hainault Forest Country Park says the opposite. Is the reality that it was originally Hyneholt but then respelled as Hainault by folk etymology, in deference to Philippa? --Sir Myles na Gopaleen (the da) (talk) 11:44, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hyneholt is the correct etymology, and the name was in use almost 100 years before Philippa married Edward - the Hainault Forest Coutnry Park page is incorrect. 82.12.72.21 (talk) 21:06, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
