When starting a new article, do not use sources of taxonomic information that predate the 2017 revision for all gastropod groups ("Revised Classification, Nomenclator and Typification of Gastropod and Monoplacophoran Families" by Philippe Bouchet & Jean-Pierre Rocroi, Bernhard Hausdorf, Andrzej Kaim, Yasunori Kano, Alexander Nützel, Pavel Parkhaev, Michael Schrödl and Ellen E. Strong in Malacologia, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526.) (can be dowloaded at Researchgate.net), substituting the previous classification of 2005 Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Image required[edit]

There seem to be only two published images of this species. This Image of the holotype specimen held by Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND license, and there is presumably a copyrighted one in the Haase 2008 species description. Haase could perhaps be contacted and asked to donate a photo to the Commons, or Te Papa could be persuaded to come up with the "Wikipedia license" for certain photos. Well, after corresponding with the author, it looks like there is no photo or drawing of the species available that's not currently published and copyrighted. A shame. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 23:19, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
