Bhopal Habibganj → Habibganj Railway Station — To avoid confusion with Habibganj locality article, which is also referred as Bhopal Habibganj. WorLD8115 (TalK) 14:27, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

MP government had requested MHA to change the name few days ago. It had received the approval 2-3 days ago and then a notification was published in gazette.

I have done a partial self-revert as a result of checking each of your proposed changes. One of the principles in Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking is When possible, avoid placing links next to each other so that they look like a single link (a "sea of blue").

The rebuilt railway station was opened in November 2021 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- This is overdoing it. The two links are immediately adjacent and look like one, and the Prime Minister of India link does not add much.
The Ministry of Railways privatised Habibganj railway station in June 2017, making it India's first private railway station.

As of January 2020, Bhopal has non-stop flights to New Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Raipur.
- Though it is an awful lot of blue in a sentence, the links are separated by commas and the links are genuinely useful, since it helps readers who do not necessarily know where all these places are. So I will concede that one, provided that we use the agreed commonly used English-language name Bangalore.

- The linked article is on the railway station not the suburb. I would have no objection to near Sant Hirdaram Nagar railway station (formerly known as Bairagarh).
