Notability[edit]

At some point there was issue with this article's notability. I think, at minimum, it meets WP:BKCRIT part 1. Here are some facts regarding the notability:

  • Google Scholar lists over 100 articles citing the Pre-K-12 report alone
  • The American Statistical Association endorsed it
  • The National Science Foundation has awarded grants to three projects (millions of dollars total) that have strong influences from these documents (e.g. AIMS, LOCUS, and Online Statistics Book)
  • Several textbooks have been written (or reformed) to be aligned with the GAISE reports (e.g. Agresti & Franklin, 2007-2013; Rossman & Chance, 2012)

I think that these allow it to easily pass WP:BKCRIT part 1 and are evidence for even further notability. All of these, except for the raw number of citations in Google Scholar, are mentioned in some form in the article. Douglas Whitaker (talk) 18:50, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
