GH Release[edit]

The exact details of the Greatest Hits release, such as tracklisting and title, have yet to be confirmed - but the existance of a release is now no longer in question. Melanie B confirmed plans to release a GH in 2007 (the quote is in the article, together with source), and the media interest has been widespread; although there maybe speculation regarding what the release will look like - such as the inclusion of "W.O.M.A.N." etc, the existance of the release itself isnt disputed.Rimmers 20:00, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tracklists[edit]

Can editors please stop putting up a tracklist of singles they think will be on this album, its not confirmed. If you say it is confirmed cite references and sources! --Theloon 13:55, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I brother works for for Virgin UK. He did confirm that at the moment all the singles by the Spice Girls will be on the album, but in the formats that were released to the radio. I don't know the track listing however, but he did say every single single will be on there. So I added that in. I don't know about those other tracks on there. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.138.244.150 (talk) 00:00:05, August 20, 2007 (UTC)

That is not a reputable source. --Theloon 02:02, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well with the tracklisting that is on the article shouldn't that be removed I know though that it has been confirmed but it also says their might be new material on this album too. So shouldn't we wait to see for sure before we put up a tracklisting? Because I am sure that as the realse date nearers there might be some changes. Headstrong 345 01:54, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Headstrong 345[reply]

No, the track listing that is on the article now is official - it has been released by EMI. Things may change, and if they do and its officially confirmed, then the article can be altered. But at the moment there is only idle speculation that people like Bono and George Michael are involved; given that the album is set to be released in a matter of weeks now, if there is any new material it will already be recorded and set. Rimmers 09:31, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay howcome sometimes there is a tracklisting on this page for a while then when I come back a couple of days later it is gone. What I am getting at is that either we find a reliable source that has the offical tracklisting or we just wait for the album to come out until we put the offical tracklisting, but if we do put one up again it should be titled as unconfirmed tracklisting or rumoured. Headstrong 345 22:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Headstrong 345[reply]

The track listing that has featured on the article thus far was from an official source - EMI. However, that information has now changed and its been announced that there will be at least one new song on the album. Also, the girl's official website has some of the track lists available, but for the main album (CD1), its currently "TBA". Rimmers 23:13, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greatest Hits Editions[edit]

Online stores such as Amazon.co.uk and HMV.co.uk are listing the same three different versions of the Greatest Hits to pre-order. Would that be enough information to assume that the different versions are officially confirmed? Truten 18:42, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Producers[edit]

Removed the reference to Matthew Rowbottom as he is the same person as Matt Rowe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.88.188.109 (talk) 13:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Voodoo??[edit]

Someone put a new tracklist for the album and one of the tracks is named "Voodoo". Is it confirmed? Where does this info come from? A source would be nice... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.31.9.69 (talk) 15:19, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which versions?[edit]

which versions of the songs will be included? album versions or radio edits? are the 3 songs from "Forever" re-recorded with Geri's vocals? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.11.172.36 (talk) 19:42, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to [1], the songs will be included in their radio or single versions, not album versions (exception for Headlines). It also seems that Geri Halliwell did NOT include her vocals into the 3 songs from "Forever". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.107.4.202 (talk) 16:09, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release dates[edit]

I'd like to know who the fuck keeps editing out the country release dates for the album to include only the US and UK releases. That's fucked. Whoever's doing this needs to stop as the Spice Girls were a truly global band and therefore the country's release dates shouldn't be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfcruiser (talkcontribs) 17:55, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, moderate your language. Secondly, the additions you have made have been removed because they are not noteworthy. The guidlelines for articles concerning music releases show that the music template is not to be used as a random collection of information - in other words, not every release date is desired or needed. The three main global music markets are USA, Japan and UK - places like Mexico and Brazil should not be included. Also, Wikipedia is not a advertising page or a fanzine so its irrelevent if the group were global or regional. Comments to this effect have been previously placed on your discussion page - I suggest you read them. Rimmers 18:30, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, then how come some other artists CD pages have other countries listed on them like Australia, Greece etc? Half of those aren't especially global markets either. So why edit these ones out?-Sambalove —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.38.192.26 (talk) 23:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just to mention, the Greatest Hits has already been released in Australia. Just thought yoy guys should know BatterBean 21:28, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I went and bought the Spice Girls Special Edition (CD+DVD) today in Australia, which is Nov 10. So I guess you can say that we got the Standard and Special Editions, however, I didn't see the Karaoke Box Set at the store but they probably sold out or something lol. 61.68.233.195 12:23, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Versions[edit]

Has it been confirmed that only Europe will be getting the different versions? SKS2K6 22:18, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coming Back after Reunion Tour[edit]

I was just wondering will the Spice girls after the reunion tour is done, will they be getting back together and making new material cause I have heard that they are considering coming back, but I'm not sure if this is ture or not. Cause what I read on their page at wikipedia is that it would just be the Reunion tour and that was it. Headstrong 345 (talk) 03:41, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Headstrong 345[reply]

How can be #24 in the US if it doesnt even was released? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.45.111.67 (talk) 02:05, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sales Figures/Certifications[edit]

Please reference the certifications listed, and in particular the exact UK sales figure given. If a reference cannot be found it should be removed Spicefunk (talk) 00:39, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Greatest Hits (Spice Girls album)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Greatest Hits (Spice Girls album)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bbc":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:26, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
