Title[edit]

There are no spaces in his name. Its GrandPOOBear. But I can't figure out how to edit it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drkirienko (talkcontribs) 16:36, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted to the original title—GrandPooBear—per the comment in the lede: "we use this capitalization and not GrandPOOBear, with or without spaces, per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOS:TMRULES and standard styling in reliable sources". Any change should be discussed here for consensus before moving again. czar 17:05, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"first gained notoriety"[edit]

Hunt first gained notoriety in early 2016 after beating a difficult level by PangaeaPanga titled "Pit of Panga: Cape Escape."[1]

To say "first gained notoriety", the cited source needs to claim the same. We can't infer that this news article is what sparked his career/"notoriety". czar 17:16, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"more than just Kaizo"[edit]

He's known for more than just Kaizo. There needs to be mentions of his SMB3 records and ROM hack speedruns. [1]

Only if mentioned in sources—otherwise it's original research. We report what reliable, secondary sources report. czar 17:19, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you trying to be difficult? Obviously I meant I would find sources at a later time and add it the article, smh. He has speedran SMB3 at GDQ so it's not exactly hard to find had you even bothered to look. Secondly, please stop vandalizing this page. You don't get to revert back to your preferred version just because another editor made edits on a public encyclepedia, and this "I'm better than you" attitude is really starting to get cumbersome.
I can also link to Wikipedia articles... Please and thank you. MARIOFan78 02:16, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
and no, you don't get to revert any and every change to this article just because you put something on the talk page. Please stop. MARIOFan78 02:17, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, I'm trying to improve this page you created. Why are you acting like I'm the one ruining it? Changing your work isn't a valid reason. Not to mention my edit summary is not up for debate because I never once put anything unsourced into the article like you're apparently misconstruing. MARIOFan78 18:26, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
WP:V requires that sources be provided as soon as the text you may have written is challenged. This fact is doubly true for an article about a living person. You should also review what "ignore all rules" does not mean, because you will not find support for your position there. Lastly, consensus is how we decide that an edit is a good edit, and right now, you don't have that. If you would like to achieve it, that requires a discussion and moreover agreement here first at this point, not after you've implemented your preferred version. --Izno (talk) 19:13, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I NEVER EVEN PUT THIS INTO THE ARTICLE I have been editing on Wikipedia for years, I know exactly how it's supposed to work and this ain't it. MARIOFan78 20:38, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the issue was the linked edit, not the summary. I know that you know that WP reverts changes if the listed citation does not support the claim. If you cite a source to claim that he is better known for playing "various Mario games" than for just Kaizo levels, there would be no discussion needed. The breadth of sources I've seen (as linked in the article) better support the latter. czar 02:00, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
