Re: forced labour[edit]

It is, of course, thanks to the fact that there was forced labour in Goslar during World War II that Goslar was not bombed and has therefore retained a lot of its historic buildings. Hikitsurisan 21:27, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Medieval[edit]

"Being a mediæval town...."

The accepted modern English spelling is medieval, not "mediæval."
It's not a medieval town now — it was founded during the Middle Ages.

Re the rather petulant comment above, I don't believe the Allies would have bothered with bombing a small resort town in the Harz Mtns. The British in particular, single-mindedly led by "Bomber Harris," were more interested in causing civilian casualties in the tens of thousands on each raid, and preferred to attack large population centers.

The mayor recently said he wants more refugees: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/11253562/The-German-town-desperate-for-more-asylum-seekers.htmKdammers (talk) 09:13, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Climate table[edit]

There is something wrong with the data in the climate table. I can't believe that the average daily maximum temperature for January is as high as 10C. JH (talk page) 19:47, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
