Glen Trool or Glentrool?[edit]

Can we clarify the two names. Glen Trool is the name of the Glen, but at its heart is the village of Glentrool.

According to the OS maps yes but where the actual boundary of Glen Trool is I don't know. We do have the article Glentrool about the mountin biking routes without mentioning the village. JMiall 23:11, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hence my question - it's inaccurate to use the two versions interchangeably. The Glen should be referred to as Glen Trool, but the village as Glentrool. Pimdip (talk) 09:49, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a few edits to make sure other pages point to the right places or use the right term. Note that List of United Kingdom locations: Ge-Gl lists Glentrool as Glentrool Village and Wikipedia:List of encyclopedia topics (28) lists Glen Trool Lodge as a topic we should have an article on. There should be a page for Glen Trool and another for GlenTrool Village - AyrshireNeil (talk) 20:50, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
