Merger[edit]

This article has been on the wikiproject 'update' list for months with little activity. I recommend we merge the two articles Colossal Boy and Leviathan (comics) to start with so we have one article about the character to be worked on as a permanent Legion of Super Heroes addition. =Markeer 14:57, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge - They're same person and superhero -jokauff 19:13, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Only if we get different SHB for them ;-) CovenantD 02:57, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do NOT Merge. (Indeed, I recommend splitting the "Threeboot" stuff out to Micro Lad). It's a name-and-powers only thing, albeit not quite to the extent of Sensor. - SoM 03:45, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, split vote so far. How's this? We make an article "Gim Allon" (that spelling is from memory) and redirect searches for "Colossal Boy", "Leviathan_comics" AND "Micro Lad" to that new article? Markeer 20:28, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Now that's too logical. :-) CovenantD 20:31, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I thought so but an editor undid my attempt to merge them all to the char name, so setting this back to a vote again. If it helps people decide, an example of a character with multiple hero names having one article under their 'real name' would be Kyle Rayner. Another article I've worked on with that same standard is Eric Masterson (comics), a third would be Dick Grayson, a fourth Jean Grey. All are comics characters that have used more than more superhero name over the decades, and the wiki-editors decided to lump all incarnations under their given name, and refer to their superhero incarnations below that. -Markeer 23:38, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Different scenario - Rayner's been GL and Ion, but it's the same character, no reboots involved. This is a Thor (Marvel Comics)/Ultimate Thor, Hulk (comics)/Ultimate Hulk, Spider-Man/Ultimate Spider-Man (character) scenario. The difference in names is incidental rather than central. - ExcaliDragon 01:15, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge or do the Gim Allon article--either works for me. Chris1435 16:41, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge We should keep article variants on the same character to a minimum, specially with Legion of Super Heroes characters, since there are so many of them. The differences between versions (including images of both Colossal Boy and Leviathan) should be made evident in the merged article, though. Wilfredo Martinez 17:57, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge under Gim Allon article. Cybertooth85 02:42, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge seems to be common practice with most other characters that have gone by multiple names. --InShaneee 00:36, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge has now been accomplished. All previous articles (Colossal Boy, Leviathan (comics), Micro Lad, Gim Allon (comics)) have been redirected to this one, and I made a brief pass at the text to unify it. Markeer 15:53, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is Colossal boy a giant?[edit]

Should he be listed under Categories:Giants in fiction? CensoredScribe (talk) 02:00, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do reliable, secondary sources commonly and consistently define the show(insert article name here) has having to do with (insert category here)? Would (category name) be appropriate to mention in the lead portion of an article? (Wikipedia:DEFINING#Non-defining_characteristics) No? Then no. - SummerPhD (talk) 02:30, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
