Joycean[edit]

I don'tr think it;s right to describe 'The Hunting of the Snark' as Joycean. This implies that Joyce influenced Carrol. Although it certainly has strong literary connections, the work was written before James Joyce was even born. Naturenet | Talk 15:29, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a source for the claim that Gertrude was the second most important friend? Gertrude inspired the Snark? The book was mostly done before he met her, she inspired him to publish it, not write it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.226.56.26 (talk) 03:13, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
