The number of German tanks committed to Operation Barbarossa is listed here as about 8,000. Most sources including wikipedia's other pages give a number around 3,300. AFAIK the *total* number of German AFVs of all types, in all locations, was about 5,000 in June 1941. DMorpheus 15:08, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
