Fair use rationale for Image:George with lifeguard.jpg[edit]

Image:George with lifeguard.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Candidate eligibility[edit]

The article says that Liberal legal advice reveals Newhouse is ineligible to stand for election. 2 points: First, the article should also state Labor's legal advice which says he is eligible. Second, the paragraph needs a reference.--Lester 03:10, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No discussion? OK, I just reworded it myself, and added a reference.--Lester 07:33, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mayor of Waverley[edit]

He is no longer mayor of waverley council. he resigned before the election. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.93.8 (talk) 07:02, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Biased editing[edit]

The text edited 5 minutes prior to the discussion post "This article must adhere to the policy on biographies of living persons. Controversial material about living persons that are poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libellous. The reports that are being quoted are currently subject to litigation", is properly sourced to reliable Australian news publications as per Wikipedia guidelines. They are not controversial - simply follow the links to the published articles. Please source your own information that these published reports are subject to litigation and they will be retracted immediately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.214.155.209 (talk) 11:46, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More biased editing. The edit of the article made at 19:42, 27 January 2009 by IP address 124.188.112.223 contains unreferenced information Please reference your source for this edit, otherwise please refer to the policy regarding editing biographies of living persons. Until this edit is sourced, I have reverted the article to the original referenced version. 203.214.155.209 (talk) 11:21, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is hilarious. It is obviously George or one of the labor party lackeys censoring George's wikipedia page!!! The spin doctors are at it again! 61.14.187.12 (talk) 06:04, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This article has today been cleaned up; with many references cited in full to avoid link rot and {{citation needed}} added where required and various other tags to assist editors. While the article is not ideal, it has come a long way from where it was when I started; when the article was very clearly biased and in breach of WP:IMPARTIAL. I also removed a few weasel words. Please reference all future edits and add citations where possible for those claims made without citations. Thanks. Rangasyd (talk) 17:32, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

Please stop censoring the fact that George Newhouse is currently involved in a claim of negligence and breach of fiduciary duty. A finding against Newhouse in this litigation would surely have a significant impact on his career both as a human rights lawyer and a federal political candidate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.146.76 (talk) 13:16, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
