4th paragraph: "...and this one differing interval is always the generator (7) plus or minus one (7 − 1 = 6) if the total number of specific intervals (12) and the generic interval's corresponding specific interval (7) are coprime (12 and 7 are)." This is demonstrably false, and should be removed. The major pentatonic scale in 19edo is a counterexample. The generator is 11\19 and the differing interval is 13\19 (or equivalently, 8\19 and 6\19), and their difference is two not one.SeventhHarmonic (talk) 05:22, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
