Proposed merge with Gender Advertisements

Most of the content is duplicated in both articles. "Gender Advertisements" contains a biography of Erving Goffman, but it is unsourced and doesn't indicate notability. Most of "Gender advertisement" seems to be based on Goffman's book. Ahecht (TALK

  • Support merging the narrower topic (book) into the broader topic. ~Amatulić (talk) 14:33, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Oppose One is a book about a social construct. This is an article about a social construct, and it cites much more than the book. Makes no sense to merge.Timothyjosephwood (talk) 05:49, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
The social construct is "gender representation in advertising", not "Gender Advertisement". --Ahecht (TALK
