Considering how little information exists on Trudeau, there's probably something in this feature article that could be helpful to someone good at at writing Wikipedia-style biographies. Washington Post Magazine article. IFCAR 19:44, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Seeing as how most of his notability has come in widespread dislike for President Bush, I think the information about his criticism of him substantiates the article. It's been expanded enough since I last edited it, ca. 2006 I believe. Zchris87v 03:14, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

For the record, he was notable before President Bush. In fact, he was notable before the first President Bush. Trudeau's rise to prominence came during the Watergate era. --GentlemanGhost 20:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Add Stereotyping Of Military Personel to Controversy Section

I need help finding the citations for the complaints about Trudeau's depiction of Iraq veterans as largely psychologically disabled and mentally ill.

I've read them and need to track them down so criticisms of his portrayal of military people can be added to the 'controvery' section.

New Award to be listed

I just found an award he will be given by the Yale School of medecine (his alma mater). It is called "The Mental Health Research Advocacy Award". There is an article here The Mental Health Research Advocacy Award about it. http://www.yale.edu/opa/newsr/08-03-20-03.all.html He also has an honorary PhD from Yale. He was the youngest or tied youngest along with Maya Lin for honorary PhD's from Yale. I can't find a cite for that other than the documentary on Maya Lin called "Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision" and I really don't remember if they said he was younger than her when he was given his honorary PhD or if they were the same age. Maybe someone else knows of a source for this information. I'd post it myself but I have no clue how. I don't do wikipedia enough to remember all the fine details of posting. George Polk Award/Remarks on Charlie Hebdo

Two developments regarding Trudeau in the last few days. First, his winning a George Polk Award. Second, the remarks he made about Charlie Hebdo and free speech in his acceptance of the award, republished in The Atlantic [1], and the controversy that has sprung from that. At least one high profile response has been published in Eugene Volokh's Washington Post blog [2]. I think this should be summarized in the "Criticism and Controversies" section (notable supportive views of course should be included, though I suspect the majority of responses will be critical).
