Image:From An Abandoned Work Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Is this stream-of-conciousness writing?[edit]

Hi,

When I read this, it hit me: this is what "stream of conciousness" must mean.

And yet there's no mention of stream of conciousness here or on the Samuel Beckett page, and no mention of Beckett on the stream of conciousness page.

It's not Joyce's style of stream of conciousness. As I see it, it's a sort of a blend. The thoughts of the main character are expressed in sentences, but they're not his thoughts about one issue or theme, they're all his thoughts, jumping from topic to topic, dumping out the stream of thoughts going through his head, giving as much time to the snail as to his waving mother.

What do others think, is this "stream of conciousness"? Or a variant of stream of conciousness? Or something else? Gronky (talk) 00:10, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
