Blondi's date of death and recent edits[edit]

The date of Blondi's death per poison was actually 29 April 1945, per: Sir Ian Kershaw, Hitler: A Biography, W.W. Norton & Co. p. 252; Henrik Eberle and Matthias Uhl, ed., The Hitler Book: The Secret Dossier Prepared for Stalin, New York: PublicAffairs, p. 266 and Anton Joachimsthaler, The Last Days of Hitler: The Legends, The Evidence, The Truth. Brockhampton Press, p. 134. They also all agree on the reason Hitler ordered it done by Dr. Hasse. Further, a few sentences were misquoted, in part, from the book, The Hitler Book: The Secret Dossier Prepared for Stalin which I fixed and I added the page cite that had been missing. There are a bunch of forums on the internet that claim Tornow was taken to Russia after the war and then released in the West in the 1950s. There are also claims that he opened a dog food company in Germany and/or that he settled in Canada or US to train German shepards. Not clear to me what is true. I've modified the categories to indicated there's still a chance, if slim, that he's still alive. Jason Quinn (talk) 10:59, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Italian Wikipedia (and Wikidata based on it) also gives a date of birth for him but there's no source so it could be sneaky vandalism for all I know. Jason Quinn (talk) 11:02, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
