Winningest in sports articles under discussion[edit]

Please participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style#"winningest" in sports articles. Unsourced claim in BLP[edit]

The phrasing: "…he is the second winningest football coach in Wesleyan history." is unsourced wirhin the article, and I intend to remove it forthwith under WP:BLP#Reliable_sources, which states, "…contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately and without discussion. This applies whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable, and whether it is in a biography or in some other article." --Pete (talk) 21:41, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WP:KDL? Anyways, the Wayback machine took a snapshot a couple days after the cited accessdate [1]. It just needs an {{as of}} 2010 notation, pending verification that the record has stood since 2010. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 04:22, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
