Two Fort Toronto's?[edit]

This page serves as a redirect for "Fort Toronto". However, I was previously led to believe there were two Fort Toronto's, one is this fort, and the other further north. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Maury Markowitz (talk) 19:14, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I was wondering this. I was editing Magasin Royale and found "Fort Portneuf" was bluelinked to Fort Toronto, which re-directed here. It doesn't accord with the source,(here) though, so I've changed the link. Maybe one of the others was named "Toronto" at some point.
Also, the article here says Ft Douville was at Old Mill, while the source says Baby Point. Would you know about that?
I've added the source here, for completeness. Moonraker12 (talk) 13:07, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The confusion over the location is not entirely surprising, they are opposite banks of the same S-curve in the Humber. I recall seeing a map that showed the location, but I can't recall which side of the river it was on. Maury Markowitz (talk) 15:50, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
