Is "Park" part of the name?[edit]

The NPS website justs refers to this site as "Fort Marcy" rather than "Fort Marcy Park." But other features of the George Washington Memorial Parkway are listed as being "parks." If some has a way of checking, please do. I already set up Fort Marcy as a redirect, and if appropriate a user can move this page there. — Eoghanacht talk 21:07, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Conspiracy garbage[edit]

I just removed all the conspiracy garbage including the four links to a personal site, and the point of view that called it a "crime scene." Three independent investigations found it was a suicide, and only a fringe of Clinton bashers disagree. C56C 02:06, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Attribution for the content[edit]

Unless the US National Park Service is in the habit of waiting for Wikipedia to carry articles on its parks before posting their own pages about them, I'm supposing that this article was copied without attribution from the NPS site, https://www.nps.gov/places/fort-marcy.htm. Might this be incorrect? Largoplazo (talk) 12:00, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article has been largely unchanged since its creation in 2005. It is difficult to tell who was first, and it is possible that NPS copied text from either this article or a source that was copied by both. So the best course of action is just to add a citation to this article, since the NPS material is in the public domain. Abductive (reasoning) 01:27, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
