So glad to find this, finally[edit]

I'm very happy to find this page, finally. I flew on the Flying Tiger Line's passenger subsidiary Metro International once (well, twice actually--there and back) from Newark to Rome in 1982, when I attended the canonization of Saint Maximilian Kolbe at the Vatican. And I've often wondered what became of Metro International.
Something I particularly remember--from Newark to Rome, we flew non-stop. But coming back, we made a short (non-passenger) stop in Brussels, for fuel and catering (food loaded on board). I understand that the reason for this is that we were flying a 747, and using Rome's smaller (Ciampino?) airport, and a 747 can't take off from that airport fully loaded.
Anyway, I've added this page to a disambiguation page for "Metro." Now, anybody else who was on that memorable trip in 1982, who is curious about that airline, should be able to find it. Uporządnicki (talk) 13:49, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
