Suggestions for improvement[edit]

That chart is really novel, but it really isn't something we're looking for in an encyclopedic article. I realize it must have taken a long time to put together, so I'll call in a couple other opinions about what to do. Otherwise, I'd advise you to look at WP:MOS-AM for an example of what a series article should include. Off the top of my head, this seems to be missing a concise plot summary and a section on reception. You do have one ANN reference, but it would be good to have some more third-party sources as well. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 22:35, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Its going to be a bit hard to write an overall plot summary that covers all five movies, since each movie has more or less a self-contained story (aside for the two Raoh Den movies), but they do overlap with each other. The movies were made to clarify plot elements that were left out from the original manga according to the official site, but they also take liberties with the manga's canon as well.
As for the character table, you're probably right, it does look a bit distracting and I'm probably just going to remove it and describe each character's role in the movies.
Reception is going a bit harder, since the movie series had yet to be licensed for an English dub (but they are already released in France and Italy).Jonny2x4 (talk) 05:59, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm. You're right, I didn't see that there was a separate article about the manga. The way you have the plot summaries is fine. There are a couple European editors that are active on Anime project, you might ask them for help with any European coverage. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 11:21, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have watched each of these movies carefully, and I have them all available for my review. I would very much like to add a more detailed plot summary to this article, like what has been proposed above. I would also like to include some more to the reception category. For the plot summary, I think the differences to the original anime / manga should be noted and I'd like to include and summarize those differences. 65.34.215.76 (talk) 16:34, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Its good that you have access to them, that will make things easier. It can sometimes be tricky pointing out plot differences between manga and anime without falling into original research. If you can find reviews that discuss these differences, it can often make it a lot easier. You also want to avoid turning the plot section into a back-and-forth list of differences between the two works. Keep in mind that a good plot summary is going to be fairly concise, while giving a complete picture that is relevant to the average reader. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 08:34, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Using your advice above, I made an edit to the Yuria Den portion, please view my edit and let me know if you approve of my way of writing, if so I will continue detailing the other films this way. Thank You.65.34.215.76 (talk) 16:33, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is a good start, but it kind of stays in the meta mode. That is, as a reader who isn't familiar with the work, I'm not quite sure what Yuria Den is about. The purpose of the summary should remain on what happens in the plot, including the ending. Though I do think most of what you have here can work, it needs more plot details. Keep in mind a good Wikipedia plot summary might have to include spoilers. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 06:08, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Here's an example of a plot summary from article that has been rated "Good Article". You don't need to completely copy the format, but it sometimes helps to see what the goal is. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 06:08, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I understand what you mean, but unfortunately therein lies the problem, these semi-short videos especially Yura den, do not have much of any plot of their own, they are just exactly what I wrote in the final sentance. They have a scattered story and use brief instances to compliment the story from the manga. Never the less, I will write a more detailed description of the events including spoilers. Thanks for your suggestions.65.34.215.76 (talk) 16:25, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you can only write so much about plots like this. I guess at this point I just say try your best. With the spoilers, you don't need to go out of your way to include them, but just don't go out of your way to exclude them either. (If that makes any sense). I'll try to give the page a rough read-through in the next day or two. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 04:38, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
