This is not an entity separate from Venezuela with which it can be confused; it is just one of the historical republics of Venezuela, and so the parantheses-style disambiguation is inappropriate. See French Fifth Republic etc.--Pharos 03:04, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Pharos is correct. Venezuelan historiography does "serialize" it's history (to uses Domino theory's words), and the current state of Venezuela recognizes its origins in the 1811 state, much like the United States sees its origins in the United States (first federation).TriniMuñoz (talk) 04:08, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
