More information[edit]

What sort of racing game is this? I've read talk of wings, and would then assume that it's planes, or jets. Earlier, there was talk of some of these crafts Hovering, so I was thinking it was possible that it was a HoverCrafts...

Also, whoever is adding information to this article, would you mind citing your source(s), please?

Can we use the following Press release from Koei to add extra info about the game? Shouldn't there also be a reference to the use of the unreal engine 3. There is no mention about this in the article. Koei Press release, published on 7/2/2007 --193.75.228.252 10:25, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cancelled PS3 games[edit]

Can the wiseguy who put this game in the "cancelled ps3 games" category also put the reason behind his/hers decision on the discussion page? I'm putting it back in the "ps3 games" category --Stef Nighthawk 14:58, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since when does a delay == cancellation? This article only talks about a delay because of middleware issues. It doesn't say KOEI cancelled the whole PS3 version. The Koei rep even says "We've always supported Sony and will continue to do so.", confirming their commitment.--Stef Nighthawk 10:20, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Similarities to Slipstream 5000?[edit]

I'd just like to point out, but the current gameplay and screenshots seem to bear a striking resemblance, despite the distance in the time gap of making... (1995 DOS compared to an XBOX game... :D)

released, or not?![edit]

i'm kinda confused. the opening paragraph states this game was released on PS3, but then in the next sentence says it was delayed (but doesn't say for how long and until when - ie was it delayed and then released?). is this game out or not?? play.com say this game won't be released in the UK until next year (27/3/09). therefore again, is this game released or not?! (see http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/1021978/Fatal-Inertia/Product.html) 194.221.133.211 (talk) 11:13, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That should clear it up. It was initially a PS3 exclusive, but was delayed due to Unreal engine difficulties, and released on the 360 in the meantime. When it was finally released on PS3 this year, it became a download-only title on the PlayStation Network as Fatal Inertia EX. As far as I'm aware, despite what play.com says, you won't be seeing this game on Blu-Ray for PS3. SynergyBlades (talk) 15:20, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
