Pronunciation[edit]

I wonder how his first name should be pronounced; is it ['ɔ͡ʏgən] (German pronunciation) or ['eʉxen] (something... else)? I've personally heard the latter being used, which I guess is plausible if Eugen isn't a German name, or if the foreign name was used as a Swedish noun. I am almost related to this guy. My aunt's husband's former boss is the grandson of his little sister Sigrid. And I have heard that she pronounced his name the German way - I heard it pronounced as "Öisen". JIP | Talk 21:25, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Explosive Bullets[edit]

I don't believe it. I'd like to see someone prepare an effective detonating charge inside 40 mm³. I bet this was coined by some doctor who had heard about the grave dangers to civilized society by illegal "dum-dum bullets", which was widely circulating at the time. Maybe Schaumann had filed the jacket down to expose the lead core, resulting in something similar to a modern jacketed soft point bullet. --BjKa (talk) 16:01, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
