Herpes Lawsuit[edit]

On July 19, 2007, Morales was sued in Los Angeles Superior Court by his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Mazzocchi, who alleged intentional and negligent transmission of a sexually transmitted disease, plus assault, battery and breach of oral contract. The papers go on to allege that Morales knew he had herpes and never told Mazzocchi -- leaving her with "an incurable disease that will have associated medical expenses, pain and discomfort for the rest of her life." [1] [2] In an open letter on Morales' MySpace page he denied all allegations.[3] Even though the alleged assault supposedly happened in June 2006, Mazzocchi continued to live with Morales until August 2007. In March 2008, the L.A. district attorney declined to bring criminal charges against Morales due to insufficient evidence.[4] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.158.35.67 (talk) 04:51, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason why this isn't on the page? It seems relevant to an account of his public life. 2601:40D:8400:8F60:8463:14D:8192:14D2 (talk) 23:41, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is not included because Elizabeth Mazzocchi accused him of raping her too but as of 2008, Morales "...is glad the LAPD did such a thorough job of sorting through the case. He can move forward now that the accuser has been found to be a liar,” said another lawyer for Morales, Robert Richards."[5] --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 03:45, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Errror?[edit]

I believe there is an error in the lede to this entry. In the first graf it states, " ... well known for his role as Bob Morales ..." in La Bamba. The character's name in the movie was Bob Valenzuela, not Morales. The actor's name is Morales. I believe this to be a mistake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.53.109.18 (talk) 15:23, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
