Father in law of Karamojo Bell.[edit]

Can anyone find a reference that Earnest Soares was the father-in-law of the famed elephant hunter Walter "Karamojo" Bell? I have seen an engagement notice from post WW1, but nothing to indicate the marriage went ahead or was recorded anywhere. Considering they were both famous in their own right, I would imagine this would have made the news. --Dmol (talk) 04:31, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Conversion and ethnicity - details welcomed[edit]

The article states "before conversion" the family were Brahmins (evidently Hindu). It would clarify the position for those who may want to claim him as one of Britain's Asian MPs to state to what religion from Hinduism the conversion was, and did it take place in Earnest's lifetime or before he was born? It is interesting to note that he was in Parliament nearly a century before Keith Vaz, who is himself of Goan origin, religion RC.Cloptonson (talk) 22:01, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I also ask if he is classifiable as Anglo-Indian or British-Indian?Cloptonson (talk) 18:55, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
