Alternative names[edit]

According to the Xanthe article the wife of asclepius is sometimes named xanthe, it appears that epione is also known as Xanthe and according to this rather more extensive source

In Epidauros his (ascelepius) wife was named Epione. ... is omitted.66 Other traditions refer to the wife under other names, as Aiglaia, Arsinoe, Hippone, Koronis, and Xanthe.

and a few other names too. But some of them might be his mother/daughter/sister or whatever EdwardLane (talk) 13:47, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
