Complaint[edit]

Why in heavens is 1/3 of this article devoted to some meaningless quote from the Hong Kong legal code? And why the Chinese characters?

What is the term used for one who encumbers? Such as the Grantee of an easement? There are lienholders and there are...(encumberers?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.65.185.34 (talk) 19:56, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An encumbrance is not limited to only real property, any property, tangible or intangible, can be encumbered, including cash accounts, shares of a company, accounts receivable, movable property (including vehicles for example) can all be encumbered. To state or imply that the concept of encumbrance applies only to real property is not correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.92.240.62 (talk) 03:15, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
