Variation sequences[edit]

@Electro twisted wizard: You've edited this article multiple times to add variation sequences for U+1F611-1F616. Variation sequences for emoji are defined in http://www.unicode.org/Public/emoji/5.0/emoji-variation-sequences.txt as part of The Unicode Standard. U+1F610 is the only code point in the Emoticons Unicode block to have defined variation sequences. Why do you believe U+1F611-1F616 also have them? Text variant forms aren't displayed as text[edit]

I don't know how to fix this (use U+FE0E explicitly?), but in the "Variant forms" section, the "text presentation" examples... aren't. I assume they are meant to be something like :( etc. David Brooks (talk) 23:24, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Text presentation doesn't work that way. You'll still see a single graphic character but it won't be in color. See UTS #51. DRMcCreedy (talk) 04:30, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
