Plans to write a more in depth article about Special Needs Education in Tanzania!

Hi! I am a current student at Rice University enrolled in a class called Poverty, Justice, & Human Capabilities. One of our semester's projects is to create or edit a Wikipedia article regarding anything that we are passionate about and that is relevant. I think that this page is really great in addressing different levels and types of education in Tanzania, as well as some brief information about curriculum, exams, etc. I would like to add a page about special needs education in Tanzania because while they have made significant progress over the last few decades, there is still an interesting stigma centered around disability, especially in "developing" countries. I'm very interested in global education as well as pediatric health impairments. I would most likely focus on speech deficits (I myself was born with an internal cleft palate, so I’m fascinated by and passionate about this), cognitive disorders, and physical challenges. I think this page has a lot of great content, but I'd love to add and would also love your feedback and questions if any. If you're interested in more detail on my plans, please check out my sandbox! It has more sources and a more detailed outline of my plans: User:Spaul57/sandbox Sachi Paul (talk) 14:27, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Peer Review Comments

You did an amazing job reorganizing and adding to this article! The content you wrote is extremely valuable to the topic and it is well balanced and focused. The main things that I would suggest for you to improve this article is proof-reading for grammar, removal of some terms that make the arguments feel a little less neutral and adding more links to other pages. This starts with the first sentence of the article, which I think needs to reference the title of the article itself. I think the most important improvement from what I have outlined is the elimination of terms that may come across as biased, because I really think that your content represents a good and neutral position, you just need to make sure readers don't feel like it's biased. Good work! Hoopsf (talk) 16:53, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Peer Review Comments #2

Hi @Spaul57:, great job at reorganizing the article so that it follows a logical flow and has consistency! I especially liked your addition of special needs education. Improvements can be made by reducing confusing syntax that may lose the readers' attention and by adding more details to the lead section. I would focus on improving the lead section to be more comprehensive and slightly more detailed (you could give statistics, for example) to give the reader a sense of what the article will talk about.Prisci8 (talk) 02:20, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
