Regarding the Eds

I found this on my talk page...:

If the offical site says Kevil likes 60 minutes, even if its never mentioned in the show, then he likes 60 minutes. THE END. I dont care if it was never mentioned in the show, it obviouslly needed Danny's approval to be on the OFFICAL ED EDD N EDDY website. You are also removing lots more data, just because it was in one episode only doesnt mean its false. Kevin expressed his like for football in THREE episodes by the way. Eddy lives on Rathick Ave. You claim he just made it himself, but if he made the ID card himself, why would he put his middle name on it, knowing if someone found it he would be made fun of? Ed's pets would be mentioned too. Jonny expressed his love for clams in 1 episode, but yet that stays, same with Eddy's brothers lactose problem. Double D has 7 hats, every day of the week. This is important because most people believe he just wears the same hat every day, which is not true. Stop acting like you own the article, because you DON'T. I agree some facts need to be cleared out like about Rolf and Norway, and Jimmy and homsexuality, just because it was mentioned ONCE doesnt mean it isnt important. the end. I'm reverting the changes you made, and make sure to choose the ones that need to be gone (like Jimmys Homosexuality), not just all the ones that YOU feel arent important.

If the offical site says Kevil likes 60 minutes, even if its never mentioned in the show, then he likes 60 minutes. THE END. I dont care if it was never mentioned in the show, it obviouslly needed Danny's approval to be on the OFFICAL ED EDD N EDDY website. - The article said it was his favorite show ever, or something like that. That was false, just because he watches it doesn't make it his favorite.

Kevin expressed his like for football in THREE episodes by the way. - Like I said, I haven't seen enough of the show to varify everything. My apologies.

Eddy lives on Rathick Ave. You claim he just made it himself, but if he made the ID card himself, why would he put his middle name on it, knowing if someone found it he would be made fun of? - I put that on there, but someone else took it off.

Jonny expressed his love for clams in 1 episode, but yet that stays, same with Eddy's brothers lactose problem. - I didn't ever see the clam thing, and I didn't remove "Lactose intolorent" from the page.

Double D has 7 hats, every day of the week. This is important because most people believe he just wears the same hat every day, which is not true. - I didn't touch this info.

Stop acting like you own the article, because you DON'T. - Pardon me - WHAT? I make a few unsure edits and suddenly it's like I'm being selfesh? I just want what's best for the article, not to OWN it!

I agree some facts need to be cleared out like about Rolf and Norway, and Jimmy and homsexuality, just because it was mentioned ONCE doesnt mean it isn't important. - Thank you.

I'm reverting the changes you made, and make sure to choose the ones that need to be gone (like Jimmys Homosexuality), not just all the ones that YOU feel arent important. - I felt they were inportant - however, I agree now that there was some things I shouldn't have removed.

Where are you, whoever you are, getting the impression I want this page to myself? Because I don't. I want people to be able to see this page unvandalized, not to eliminate the good users' privelige to edit this page. --Wack'd About Wiki 11:41, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

The person who sent that, and who was vandalizing the article, has been blocked. Don't worry about it. -- 70.135.57.208 13:14, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Message to the unregistered guy: I apologize for preteding to be an admin to make you stop, but you know what? Get off your powertrip, I'm just trying to help this article. You do not own this article, and you keep on reverting good edits. My edits were not vandalism. There was plenty of information that should of stayed on that page, but you removed them all, so I put them all back and told you to remove the ones that were obviouslly vandalism (like Jimmys Homosexuality, and Rolf's Norway thing). And you say they are "cruft". Do I need to go over again that just because its mentioned in one episode doesnt make it automatically cruft? Infact, YOU vandalized this page a day ago. Here's the proof. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ed%2C_Edd_%27n%27_Eddy&diff=75473001&oldid=75445581 Please get over your powertrip, I agree some edits are pure vandalism, but you are just going too far. Calm down, and realize that this isnt your article and anyone can add anything that will improve this article. And I hope they do protect this article, so YOU will stop editing. DietLimeCola 18:09, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm on 70.135.57.208's side (but dude, you really should regester.) YOU posed as an admin and told me you would boot me for vandalism on this page. I only want what's best for the article, and have reverted many valdal's edits. I only want what's best for the article, and you're only starting an edit war. --Wack'd About Wiki PROTECT THIS PAGE! 19:20, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

I dont understand how you can be on his side. First of all, I'm trying to do whats best for this article, and telling him to get off his power trip and making him stop removing things that he doesnt think is important. Also, he vandalizes this page (not reverting vandalization, he MAKES vandalization, hes the one who made Mr.McGee saying it was Butch Hartman who played him.) He doesnt care about this page, he just likes to boss people around and thinks its OK when HE makes vandalism, but its not ok when others do. He needs a reality check to realize that HE doesnt own this page, and if he was the only one editing this page, it would be total garbage with lots of vandalism. DietLimeCola 20:23, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

The vandalism posted by 70.135.57.208 could just be a differet guy on the same IP address. Oh, and DLC, I'm still not forgiving you for posing as an admin and making me think I was getting the boot. How'd you get a second chance, anyway? --Wack'd About Wiki 01:33, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

First of all, I'm trying to do whats best for this article - wait a sec...how does posing as an admin and making me think I was getting the boot help this article, exactly? I'm reverting a ton of vandalism, not causing it. --Wack'd About Wiki 01:36, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

"Infact, YOU vandalized this page a day ago. Here's the proof. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ed%2C_Edd_%27n%27_Eddy&diff=75473001&oldid=75445581

That was buried in my archived copy of the page, and escaped my notice. How ironic that YOU are accusing me of vandalism because I accidentally reposted YOUR fancruft! LMAO! -- 70.135.57.208 02:45, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Protection of Article

Since there is recent vandalism going on, this should be in need of protection. -- Schfiftythree628, 14:12, September 13, 2006

Agreed. I just erased a ton of vandalism, and most of it popped up again emetiatly afterwords. --Wack'd About Wiki 23:08, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

That's good. People like Wack'd and I just want to add to the site and benefit for the article and for visitors unfamiliar with the show. Even when I put edits that were unneeded, they were out of good intention for those unfamiliar with the show or to add more description. Even when I later saw they needed to be fixed, I would change them. It's angering that because of vandalists, others have to suffer because of extreme strictness to keep the vandalists out. This is my favorite cartoon show...why would I want to vandalize, anyway? Black Kat 16:54, September 13, 2006 (UTC)

Oh and Wack'd I'm glad we have this whole minature disagreement for awhile over. I just come here for fun...I don't want internet wars and enemies, especially over something like this, along with over a misunderstanding. :) Black Kat 16:55, September 13, 2006 (UTC)

Philo

I don't understand why you consider this sentence to be vandalism:

"References are made to parents and Rolf's grandparents, but again, these characters are never seen and never will be seen."

I'm not the one who put it there, but I left it because it summed up the situation quite nicely. I certainly hope that you don't consider everything you personally don't like "vandalism." If so, that's an indication of a person who wants to solely control this article. Some edits are vandalism, but not all. Some one may make an edit that others personally don't agree with, but not have vandalism as a motive. -- Elaich 14:50, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

with all the vandalism that goes on with this page, it's difficult to tell what is relevant and what is not. --Philo 10:29, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

He's just a kid on a powertrip, hes doing the same thing to some of the stuff I edited. DietLimeCola 18:06, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

GOOD! --Wack'd About Wiki 19:23, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
DietLimeCola, there is NO SIMILARITY between what Elaich is talking about and what you are talking about. You are a vandal, pure and simple, and were blocked because of it. The same thing will happen again if you come back here and start more trouble. Everything you posted were lies and fancruft. If anybody is a kid on a powertrip, I suggest it's you. No mature person would believe any of the crap you posted. -- 70.135.57.208 00:10, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
I was banned because I impersonated an admin, and I already apologized for that. What I'm doing is not vandalism. Once again, you do NOT own this article, so get your head out of your ass. Plus you vandalized this article as well, so you have NO right to tell me what to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ed%2C_Edd_%27n%27_Eddy&diff=75473001&oldid=75445581 DietLimeCola 00:46, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

That was buried in my archived copy of the page, and escaped my notice. How ironic that YOU are accusing me of vandalism because I accidentally reposted YOUR fancruft! LMAO!

Let's see - these aren't vandalism?

1. Continually posting that Eddy's last name is McRich, when it was proven that is not true.
2. "Eddy can fly into the air whenever he wants, when he makes his 3 hairs go around his head. Although he only did that once, when they were trying to catch a baloon due to Kevin's Joke." This is cruft, because it only happened once. It was an aberration, a sight gag. It is not relevant to the scope of the article, and thus needs no mention.
3. "She loves her hair, which is the most important thing to her!" One episode, she said something about "not messing up my 'doo." Many other times, she has her doo all messed up and doesn't care at all. Irrelevant.
4. "Under his matress he has a bunch of seagulls and trash living there. When he becomes clean,he turns into Cool Ed and talk hip-hop. Everyone likes Cool Ed better!" Complete, total gibberish. Fancruft.
5. "He is also a homosexual" Posted over and over again, when it's been proven there is no basis for it.
6. "Another interesting quality is that he likes to practice yoga and meditation." Absolutely no basis at all. Fancruft.
7. "Rolf is also from Norway" No basis, in fact, completely at odds with what Danny Antonucci said himself.
8. "HJe always gets his head stuck in various objects. His cow's named Poochy." Jonny does not have a cow, and he doesn't get his head stuck "in various objects." Occasionally, he gets his head stuck between two tree branches. Another outright lie about the cow.
9. "He was the firstest one who created a location called American Idol Xtreme.Eddy's last name is McRich! Right? Well his name is Bro McRich. Bro isn't his name.Once hey met Dr.Jackson "Jack" John Magee" Where in the world did you dream up these ideas? Fanfiction? Fanfiction is off topic here. It does not exist.
10. "500."Bro at school"/"No more Ed"" When and where did this episode air? In your brain?

Those are ten points that I would like to see you answer. You posted them over and over, despite the fact that you were advised to read the discussion page, where they have all been refuted. You impersonated an administrator, which got you blocked. Now the page is protected, partially because of you. You might think this is a bit funny, until you read it and realize that the page looks pretty much just the way the regulars want it now, and YOU are the one who can no longer change it. At the best, you are someone living in a fantasy world - at the worst, a dedicated vandal. You are welcome to join the community and help define and protect this page, like some of us have been doing for months. However, you have demonstrated the attitude that you are going to have your way, no matter what. That's not likely to work out to a "peaceable solution" as Yanksox hopes. Keep in mind that we have a sympathetic admin. Really, it's your choice to make. -- 70.135.57.208 02:34, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I just cleaned up 11 major pieces of vandalism.

Edit-protect this page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --Wack'd About Wiki 01:44, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Protected

I've fully protected this article considering disputes have occured on this page and this issue needs to be settled through talking about certain sections and suggesting what to add. Hopefully, we can reach a peaceful conclusion. Yanksox 01:56, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you! This person/people are unreasonable, so I don't know about any peaceful conclusion. We did and will try. -- 70.135.57.208 01:57, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Why does it say Rolf is Japanese? --Wack'd About Wiki 01:58, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

This is ridiculous, I'm trying to clean this whole thing up, but it's a daunting task. Normally, I would edit protect under the given circumstance, but any or all troublesome or potentional troublesome edits have come from accounts that passed the edit protect stage. Please, keep discussing, we need to fix this whole darn thing up before we try to stablize it. Yanksox 02:13, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Yanksox, the article looks very good now, almost exactly like it has been accepted for some time. There doesn't seem to be anything else needing deletion. Thanks. -- 70.135.57.208 02:37, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Sockpuppets

I've identified at least 7 different usernames who posted exactly the same edits during this war. They are: JennyBrava; Iknowmanythings; Thiswontgowell; DarkDragonKid; SinkingDiamond; Iliketoeetfud, and DietLimeCola. Using sockpuppets to vandalize articles is a sure way to get a long term ban from Wikipedia. Also posting the same edits was 68.37.205.18. -- Elaich 03:16, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

my edits

check out User:Philip Laurence/EEnE. I have made tentative edits that could be incorporated into this article. go ahead and compare mine with the current revision. compare

some edits I did: in eddy's bio, there is a seperate sentence that says "his room has a disco ball". I simply listed disco ball in the setence about his room. no need for that extra sentence, right?

and yes, I did say "jimmy is somewhat effeminate". Effeminate simply means that a male does not fit the traditional gender role and has nothing to do with homosexuality. Even when I was 8, I didn't play with dolls (and most boys I knew didn't either).

also, there are parts of the article that I wouldn't know what to do with, such as the awards section and jonny's profile. --Philo 12:28, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't have a problem with it. My main peeve is the addition of stupid cruft. Maybe this will satisfy those who want to make Jimmy gay. -- Elaich 15:51, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I did some more edits. check them out

Everything looks fine except the Jonny edit. Why is it necessary to describe Plank in the Jonny section, when Plank is described in his own section right under?

Should Plank Have his own Character section? & The Kankers

Hes not even a real character, just a board drawn on with markers or whatever. You can summarize Plank in the Jonny section in 1-2 sentances, which is why he doesnt deserve his own section. Also, souldnt each Kanker have their own section, instead of just "The Kankers", because theyre 3 different characters. 205.155.225.1 20:03, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

As stated earlier, there's not enough info on them for separate sections. I'm not sure about Plank though. May the Edit be with you. T-borg (drop me a line) 20:08, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Plank deserves his own section more than the Kankers do. -- 75.7.155.105 20:39, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
No. He doesn't. No one knows enough about Plank to give him a section. Also, The Eds are the main characters, and they don't have their own sections.--Suit-n-tie 00:15, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
I have done so, as you might be be aware, with tentative edits. User:Philip Laurence/EEnE --Philo 01:02, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
I would word it this way:
"He is rarely seen without his best friend, a board with drawn-on eyes and a mouth, appropriately named Plank."
Suit-n-tie, what are you talking about? Of course the Eds have their own sections. -- 70.135.57.208 01:14, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I meant articles. You know, seperate pages.--Suit-n-tie 01:45, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

The separate pages issue has come up several times. A few times, people have even done it. It is immediately followed by a "merge" tag on all the pages. I agree - it's not needed. I also agree that Plank doesn't warrant a separate section. I like the way Philo merged him in with Jonny. Let's see how long it stays that way after the protection is gone. -- 70.135.57.208 13:14, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

How are we doin'?

Sorry, guys, I've been busy/still am busy with the college stuff, so I wasn't around at all. How are we doing around here? Yanksox 01:08, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

The person(s) causing the trouble have disappeared. As you can see, we are discussing what to do with the article when it is unlocked. -- 70.135.57.208 01:15, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm just wondering whatever happened to BlackKat, the person who was so protective of people who might edit the page but have their edits deleted. And then there was Wack'd About Wiki, who seemed to resist him at first, but then they reached an understanding and became big buddies. Isn't it kind of strange that they have both left the arena, and have nothing to say about anything any more? Am I sensing more sockpuppets here? -- Elaich 04:26, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
No I'm still here, just waiting until it's unlocked, then add what I'd like to. Signed the "sock puppet." Black Kat 01:02, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

P.S. - Wack'd and I were never friends, either. We came to good terms, but that's as far as it went. Along with that, most of what I put was overall useful, mainly just making things more accurate or specific. You need to lay off. Black Kat 10:57, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

And then there was Wack'd About Wiki, who seemed to resist him at first, but then they reached an understanding and became big buddies. Yeah, right. I was reverting vadalism the whole time. Even the history page says so. So where are you getting the idea i'm a sockpuppet? --Wack'd About Wiki 09:11, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Jonny

Sound assistants: Maila Burnett, Brendan Ostrander, Johnny (2x4) Ludgate

I found the above on Edtropolis. Shouldn't it be mentioned Jonny 2x4 was most likely named for Ludgate? --Wack'd About Wiki 10:08, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Does it say anywhere on the Internet that Jonny is named after Ludgate? Can you find documented proof of that? Otherwise its a great piece of info, but it could be considered original research, you know. May the Edit be with you. T-borg (drop me a line) 13:41, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

What I was trying to do.

Hello, its me again, another possible "Sock Puppet". I apologize for my additude, and not explaining my intentions towards this article. First of all, I'm not a sock puppet. Me and my friends were at the library, and someone noticed an Ed Edd 'n Eddy page, and said we should all add stuff. So I and a few other people registered, and added whatever. I looked at the history and found some information was lost, but I wasnt totally sure if it was usefull or not, so I added it. NOTE: The ONLY thing that I actually added was about Double D's hats and Jonny getting his head stuck, the other parts of the text were created by other people, so I have NOT contributed in adding false information. Aparently, my "friends" thought it was funny, but not me. When the edits of everyone was reverted, I noticed a good deal of information was lost in the edits. So since I was new, I decided to revert the edits again, and suprise suprise, they were reverted again. The reason I did this because I was new, and I wasnt sure of the definition of "cruft", so I reverted the edits and told people to remove the obvious false information themselfs, and for them to decide what stays there and what doesn't. Obviouslly this was a mistake on my part, since my reverted edits included "Jimmy is gay" and "Rolf is from Norway", I should of removed those myself. I dont like being labled as a vandal or a sock puppet, becuase that's simply not true. All I wanted to do was help out this page, but by removing even the good information in my reverted edits made me upset that someone was on a power trip. "Iliketoeatfud" is my friend in real life, and he saw that the IP user and others were angry,so he kept reverting to my version just to annoy, which is where this whole thing got out of hand. I want to refrain from labeling others as well, all I wanted to do was contribute to this page, and I never intended for this to get so out of hand. When this page gets unprotected, I'll make sure of three things: One: My edits arent reverted edits that contain obvious vandalism and fancruft, Two: I'll tolerate others decisions more, and Three: I wont impersonate an admin ever again to gain bounds in an edit war. Just please give me another chance, I just want to do whats best for this page, I have made peace, and fighting over an article just isnt worth it. DietLimeCola 18:21, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't really care. I just want to know how the [][][][][]ing [][][][] you got a second chance, after what you did to me, various other users, and this page. --Wack'd About Wiki 19:14, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Screw this, Im just gonna register under a new name, it isnt worth it. You people are the most stubborn people I've ever met. Period. You people are acting like I committed murder or raped an underaged child. DietLimeCola 19:34, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

What you really mean is, "I'm used to getting my way all the time, and you people won't let me." BTW, I thought I would refresh your memory on what you really did post to the article:

"He wears a different hat every day of the week." Not untrue, but is it worth mentioning?

"Eddy can fly into the air whenever he wants, when he makes his 3 hairs go around his head.Although he only did that once, when they were trying to catch a baloon due to Kevin's Joke." You yourself said he only did it once. Actually, Ed did it.

"HJe always gets his head stuck in various objects." He gets his head stuck between tree branches, very rarely.

"Stench-Away Deoderant ruins Lee's clothes, as revealed in one episode." In one episode.

"He invented the El-Mondo Stinkbomb." Another one episode.

"====Eddy McRich====" If you had just taken the trouble to read the discussion page, you would understand why this was deleted.

"Under his matress he has a bunch of seagulls and trash living there. When he becomes clean, he turns into Cool Ed and talk hip-hop. Everyone likes Cool Ed better!" Incomprehensible.

"The most important thing to her in the whole wide world, is her earring. Shes also really strong, she can lift a car, like seen in one episode where she smashes the car on Nazz's body!" You reposted this, which one of your friends posted and was deleted.

"His cow's named Poochy." It seems like we are finding lots of things posted by DietLimeCola that (s)he does not remember posting.

"He was the firstest one who created a location called American Idol Xtreme.Eddy's last name is McRich! Right? Well his name is Bro McRich. Bro isn't his name.Once hey met Dr.Jackson "Jack" John Magee." Now we are off into fantasy land.

"500."Bro at school"/"No more Ed" Now we are into fantasy episodes that don't exist.

"Another interesting quality is that he likes to practice yoga and meditation." Really? Where was this stated?

So, DietLimeCola, you can't blame your friends for these, because they were posted by your username. Whether you are really sorry or not will become apparent before long. I hope you have taken some time to find out what Wikipedia is for, and what is acceptable to post here. Wikipedia is not a toy to be vandalized by kids at the library. I hope you mean what you say. I do know that those of us who have been protecting this page for a long time now won't allow this kind of stuff to stay for very long. -- 70.135.56.141 19:47, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree I should of looked for that kind of stuff, honestly I didn't notice most of the stuff I reverted until I actually saw the current version of my page. I'm going to get a new name and try to contribute though, and start off fresh. DietLimeCola 19:56, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
If you are serious, why get a new name? There's nothing wrong with the one you have. People will forget quickly if you contribute. -- 70.135.56.141 21:09, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Here's the obvious problem, which several people assumed, and is very common with many Wikipedia editors - that 1) their edits are always valid and helpful, and 2) anybody who edits their edits are "angry" and "on a power trip." There was no anger ever involved - we were just doing what we have been doing here for weeks and even months on end - deleting the same old fictions and cruft that gets posted here on an almost daily basis. I know how this stuff gets started. People sit around on fansite message boards and in chat rooms, and the slightest little thing someone saw in the show gets talked about and speculated on until it's blown up into an urban legend. Then it becomes "fact" when it is not fact at all. Some things happened in one episode only and are aberrations, like Eddy flying using his three hairs. Such things are done for comic relief and are not canonical, unless it happens continually. EEnE is full of aberrations, and such do not merit mention, unless someone wants to start an "aberrations" section. (Believe it or not, I'm not against that. It might stop posting of the aberrations to the characters sections.) Edd's mastery of the steel guitar is canonical, because it is referred to several times (although I'm not really sure it warrants mention in the article.) I hope everybody realizes that this site is different from a fan site. Anything that is cited here must have fact to back it up. Also, I hope that everybody will stick to their good intentions once the block is lifted. I have no bad will toward anyone, only a desire to see this article as an accurate reflection of a cartoon show that we all admittedly love (if we didn't, we wouldn't be here, would we?) Still, I will edit with the same sharp edged sword as always. It must pass muster to remain here. However, I will give this - instead of deleting material, if it seems even remotely factual, I will add a "citation needed" tag. If a citation is furnished, well and good. If no citation is furnished, eventually a bot will delete the entry and save me the trouble. I will still delete aberrations and Wikipedia:fancruft. Fair enough? Signed - the IP guy. -- 70.135.57.208 05:37, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

That sounds like a great idea, I'm all for it. Hopefully it will give people a better understanding of why the stuff is getting removed (because at first I didnt understand). Of course obvious vandalism like "Jimmy is Gay" or "Rolf is from Norway" should be reverted as soon as possible. Most people are just trying to help this article and they dont realize what theyre doing is damaging the article, so I 100% agree with your idea. By the way, you are right about my name I'll just keep it the same. So I think its safe to say that the protection wont last too longer. DietLimeCola 03:19, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

--Screen317 12:45, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Wasn't this in the same episode as nazz being "formerly morbidly obese"? I don't think it's canon. --Philo 12:27, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
I don't accept anything from that episode as canon. The fact is that the Eds were time shifting into alternate realities, something that anyone who has ever watch Star Trek should understand. Unfortunately, the kiddies don't. -- Elaich 14:59, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

The Eds at school, wheres the other kids?

I've noticed in the new episodes that there are no other kids in the hallways. Is there some sort of explanation on why there arent anybody? Or is just a mystery that only 12 kids are roaming the hallways of hundred's of lockers? I'd like to know, and I think it would be useful info for the page. DietLimeCola 05:34, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

It's established that the number of visible characters is set at 12. That is already mentioned in the article. It's odd, but it's the way things are in the EEnE microcosm. -- 70.135.57.208 05:40, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

70.135.57.208

Hey I just wanted to say that you seem pretty cool and just wanted to tell you so. You seem like a more cool-headed person who just wants to care for the article and doesn't want wars going on here. Believe me, I know I was aggitated, but I didn't expect things to go as far as they did between a couple of people here and me...I hate being caught in wars. Even as you saw, I wanted to make peace, and noticed you acknowledged it and we had things cleared-up afterwards.

Even when I added things that didn't need to be added to the article, it wasn't as "fan information" but more as something for those unfamiliar with the show to have a clearer idea of what some things meant, such as Plank with "strange and elaborate coincidences." Some people might not understand what that means, so that's why I added an example. I've tried making it clearer without examples before, but it seems someone likes it that way because it would be changed back to the "coincidence" sentence. Most of the things I added were just to make things more accurate, such as "Jimmy likes playing dollies with Sarah" to "Jimmy spends most of his time with Sarah" because they rarely play dollies...usually it's something different each time. The Kanker sisters main personality trait is portrayed as a stereotype in modern America, so that's why I added that. The thing with the Eds in other shows I could see as at least somewhat helpful and interesting to others, since it has to do with them in Cartoon Network shows. Now that I understand more, I could hear why you disagree (and yes, unlike what someone thought, I did hear your group's side of the story before they even made that comment). I'm tossed on that comment about them in other shows.

I just wanted to mention this to you, and more importantly...no, I'm not trying to make friends with you, just wanted to say you are respectable. Unlike what Elaich will probably accuse me of, I'm not trying to turn you against anyone else and side with me. I think Wack'd took it as I was trying to get him on my side, where it was just that I thought he had the same situation as me, so we could relate, but that was as far as it went. Black Kat 03:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm not going to accuse you of anything, BK. In fact, I've decided to back away from this article somewhat. It really gets very old having to delete the same old stuff day in and day out. There are enough dedicated people here now to take care of it. -- Elaich 00:49, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Well as long as we are on decent terms that's all I care about. As for me, I probably won't stick around a long time. I'd like to do some edits, then will leave, like I commonly do. The main reason I stuck around was because of the whole problem I started having and the arguing, but now that things have cooled down, I'll probably just make some edits since I've been around this long, then will leave, then come back later. I don't blame you either...I wouldn't want to edit everyday. The main reason I have been coming so much, besides the arguments, is just to see what's been going on lately since there was different things happening here, me included. Black Kat 20:40, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Unprotect

I have asked Yanksox to revert the protection, since it seems to be no longer needed. -- Elaich 02:27, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

I have a proclamation to make

I thought of this yesterday and figured I'd post it as a consideration. As anyone here as noticed, the talk page is ridiculously long. I have a couple of thoughts to say. This also might help with future edits in the article and at least lessen anger and arguments.

1. Erase some of the argument posts or out-of-date that aren't needed anymore. If there's no purpose for it, it might as well be removed to shorten the page. I already erased a couple of my posts and some of the arguments I'd had with others. Considering we have things cleared and it's just arguments, I figured might as well clean those out. I'm sure there is a good amount of other posts that could be removed, as well.

2. I think there should be a post made at the very top of this talk page, explaining how to post here, and understanding for others to know why their posts get erased. This way, it can get cleared, and there won't be as many arguements.

Here's what I'm thinking it could look like:

1. Please, no fancruft

2. If you add a comment, please do not add examples. In example: Ed loves chickens. A good display was when Eddy wanted a chicken to lay eggs and Ed begged to have the chicken as his pet.

3. Please do not mention Ed's and Eddy's parents showing. This has been decided because...

4. If you feel that what you erased was helpful, please post here. You can find out why it was erased, and if you still feel it would be useful, post your side and a conclusion can be made. etc... etc..."

So on with the list. If you think this is a good idea, post so. If it's decided, I'll be happy to clean through here and make the list. If someone else would like to do it, go ahead and mention and make sure we all know. I suggest that no one just erases everything and does that, otherwise others might not know what's going on or anger someone. Even as said before, I only erased my arguments and unneeded posts. I also think that if it is posted, the poster should not put their name, otherwise people who come in the future might think it's that person's opinion, not a quality list.

Comments greatly appreciated. Elaich...even though you don't come much anymore, your comment(s) would still be helpful, as well.

Thanks.

Black Kat 15:50, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

BK, I did exactly that once, deleting arguments over 2 year old edit wars, etc. leaving only info that was relevant to the article. I got a warning from a admin about editing the discussion page. -- Elaich 01:20, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

That's stupid. Oh well. Black Kat 9:59, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Character Bios

Just a short time after protection was removed, the article was vandalized again, with the exact same crap that was posted earlier by DietLimeCola, and his/her alleged friends. This time the user was called ArthurReedJuggles. Note that the user name follows the same pattern: three words joined together with capitals. I am going to take this problem right to the top and see if we can find out exactly where this vandalism is coming from. If it is a public library, that library can block access to Wikipedia on it's computers, and can ban patrons who are found vandalizing.

In the meantime, I propose that we remove the character bios section completely and replace it with a link to CN's bios. The character bios section gets 99% of the vandalism here. Comments? -- Elaich 14:48, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm all for it. That section is nothing but a headache. -- 69.228.117.36 15:50, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Use WP:RFCU. 192.138.214.102 15:08, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Leaving the bios here would be better, but considering the vandalism, I'd say your idea is best for the page. Black Kat 9:58 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't know who that is, it was probably one of the people that were banned earlier for vandalising this article, I just dont know. But I never in any of my edits posted stuff like "The Mime Trio" and "Sarah once went to the moon". I kind of find it ridiculous that acording to the history, the vandalism was there for eight hours straight, but I guess most of us were asleep at that time. Also, I dont think it would be a good idea to link to CN's site for the character bios, because I'll be honest with you, I believe those bios suck. I mean one of the pictures it shows Rofl meditating, this page was obviouslly made by someone who watched Ed Edd 'n Eddy for about 17 seconds. DietLimeCola 00:03, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I just did a huge cleanup

There was so manny grammar errors in the charcters bio's that it was ridiculous, so I fixed most of them. Compare my changes to the previous version to see that there is no vandalism. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ed%2C_Edd_%27n%27_Eddy&diff=78006009&oldid=77994903

Let me make a list for all to see why I removed some sections.

"Eddy has a love affair with money, and was driven insane when he had no one to scam because everyone else was under quarantine for chickenpox" - One Episode.

"His report card labels him a megalomaniac" - Not important.

"Kankers are portrayed as being stereotypical "white trash" - No.

"She also writes in her diary about how angry she is at Ed and Eddy for forcing "cute, innocent" Edd to participate in their schemes." - One Episode only.

"he claims that his father forces him to practice hockey." - That was a cover up so the Eds wouldnt know he was going to the Kankers, and beisdes, only in one episode.

"He is a very popular figure in the cul-de-sac and everyone except Sarah either admires him or is afraid of him" - Why have this when the character reactions are below?

I also removed the mention of "Urban Rangers" in Jimmy and Jonnys article, and mentioned them in Rolf's article as: "eads a scouting group called the Urban Rangers, whos members are Jimmy, Jonny and Plank.", Its kinda meaningless to mention the same group over and over, so I just moved them all onto Rolf's section.

I'd appreciate comments or suggestions of my edits, like I said I'm trying to improve this article. DietLimeCola 00:01, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Character Coloring

Is it worth mentioning that Ed has red hair and Nazz has blue eyes? Those traits aren't seeable, but I still wonder. Black Kat 18:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Probably Hair Color would be, but not eye color, just my opinion. DietLimeCola 01:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

He only has three hairs, so mentioning their color doesn't seem to be too important. -- 71.138.27.69 02:02, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
He's talking about Ed, not Eddy. Once they combed Ed's hair and it was red. I think the hair is worth mentioning. --Alice2 12:25, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Trivia Change

To whoever changed my comment on the theme of the cartoon and abilities, I don't think it could be considered "clean-up" and "bad grammar." It was written quite well, not jibberish. Black Kat 21:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

It was badly written and had bad grammar. Get over yourself. You're a bad editor. BTW, it's "gibberish." Welcome to the real world. -- 71.138.27.69 05:05, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
How about this...it wasn't bad grammar. It was written quite well, and since I disagree it's that "I need to get over myself," as if no one is allowed to disagree with you. Besides that, I've seen you insulting other people for little errors. Do you even know what jibberish is? It's sloppy words that are written sloppily and sound like a first grader wrote it. Highly doubtful there. Just because you don't like that one I'm a bad editor. How about consider that what I add is accurate, useful, and helps the article? Black Kat 15:12, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Whats wrong with the Kanker picture?

Since every other character of the series has pictures instead of the Kankers, I thought the Kanker picture would be good, but I was told it wasnt needed. Can you explain to me why its not needed? Thanks. DietLimeCola 05:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Becaue this is an encyclopedia. It's a bare statement of facts, not a fan page. The Kankers are minor characters who function as one person (team) rather than as individuals. No picture is warranted. -- 71.138.27.69 05:16, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

(Sorry, calm down man. English isn't my first language.) DietLimeCola

Then please learn to speak or write it before coming on a page about an American cartoon, produced by a Canadian company. -- 71.138.27.69 05:30, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I just fixed that fancruft you forgot to change, I'm not the one who even put the Canadian cartoon stuff there, that was someone else. DietLimeCola 05:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey 71, even real encyclopedias have images in them. All over wikipedia, there are images. Putting images isn't a fansite, it's images for people who visit to read about the article. Don't tell others they're terrible editors...you sound like the worst of any I've seen. Black Kat 17:10, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Plesse Calm Down 71.138.27.69

It's ok if you dont like my edits, but don't tell me I'm getting some kind of ego or tell other editors that "theyre a bad editor". I'm just trying to help this page, and so is Black Kat and almost everybody else who isnt a vandal. If you don't like the edits, just revert them, but dont talk about the person who made the edits in a negative manner please. I haven't done that to you at all ever since I turned over that new leaf, so please dont do it to me and others. As for grammar mistakes (Which Ive fixed TONS today and not even a mention of thank you), if you see me or someone else make a mistake, just fix it, because stuff happens, and no matter how much of a pro you are at english you're going to screw up. Your making me and other users feel like were doing nothing but vandalising this page, which isn't true. DietLimeCola 05:31, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

There is nothing wrong with your English; there is much wrong with your ideas of what is and isn't relevant for this page. I have branded you as a vandal; we'll see what Wikipedia pronounces. And there is no reason to "calm down." I am just doing what I have been doing all along - deleting junk. -- 71.138.27.69 05:40, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
How am I vandal? I have done nothing but helped to help this page ever since the lock was lifted. Let me show you what's vandalism. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ed%2C_Edd_%27n%27_Eddy&diff=77886589&oldid=77881717

THIS is an example of vandalism that I recovered from the history page made by "ArthurReedJuggles". I have not done anything like that of adding false facts and false characters. Like I mentioned before, I have as much of a right to edit this page as you do, and I do NOT like being labled as a Vandal when I'm not even doing anything wrong. I spruced up this page alot today (theres alot of edits I made today that I made that are STILL on this page because they were good edits). Honestly, you say you know english, but you dont even know what vandalism means, if so, you should grab a dictionary, because even I knew that word and my first language isn't english. And this, my friend, is why I suggested that I make a new username, but YOU told me to keep this one and everyone will forget about my previous edits and focus on my current ones. Is that happening? I'm going to request we get a relock on this page until we figure out how everyone is going to cooperate here. PS: "05:43, 27 September 2006 71.138.27.69 (Talk) (Since English isn't your first language, you should allow those wo speak it all the time to decide waht is good grammar.)" DietLimeCola 05:47, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Reporting DimeLiteCola to WP:RFCU. We will find out the truth. -- 71.138.27.69 06:01, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
What the hell will that do? It'll just list everyone in the library who registered wikipedia and or use Wikipedia. WHAT is your problem, if anyone has the ego, its you. You are way too overprotive, so what do you expect me to do on this name? I know you want to protect this page, but Jesus Christ, your going too far. Tell me. I have done NOTHING that is even remmotely close to vandalism ever since the lock was lifted. Most of the time I enter the library, I see someone using a computer thats on Wikipedia, you'll just get a bunch of users that will question why theyre even listed there, because they dont even know I exist and probably never even accessed this page. Like I said I should make a new name, and you said I shouldn't do that because will forget my accidental vandalism edits, so I just kept using this name. Now see whats happened? DietLimeCola 06:04, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I find it funny that the IP claims to report you, yet hasn't editted a single article outside of this one. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 09:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Seriously IP, you need to drop your OWN issues with this page. Images are fine, and you're habit of calling others vandals only lessens your position in civil conversation. I've added a protection request for this page. After it goes through, work out your issues. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 09:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

DietLimeCola, I have cleaned up the mistakes you made in grammer and sentence structure. Please do not edit this article just for the sake of editing it, and please make sure that you do so according to Wikipedia standards. -- Elaich 15:13, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Alright thanks for doing that. Glad to see the information I put in actually STAYED, just my mistakes were fixed. By the way, I don't believe all those grammar mistakes were mine, there was some that was previously overlooked. DietLimeCola 15:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Don't let the person aggitated you, DLC. You weren't vandalizing, just editing, but with good intentions. It was a clean-up, but the person doesn't know what vandalizing is. Besides that, consider the person...they came with an attitude that they're better than any other editor and insult every little problem. Don't take it to heart. Black Kat 14:03, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Ok

I wont do anymore edit's that involve editing text. Honestly I was just trying to help, but it seems that my english skills arent "good enough" to contribute to this article. And the last thing I want to do is damage this page. Just to let you all know, I've had good intentions ever since this article got unlocked. As for the edit drama in this article about a silly kids show, you all figure it out, because I know when I'm not wanted. And once again, I'm sorry I was born in Poland and that Polish is my first language, not english, it isnt my fault, its my mom and dads fault. From what I'll do now on is this: deleting false information of the characters, reverting vandalism, and other things that dont involve me typing in text. DietLimeCola 19:45, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

OK. Thank you. --20:02, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

C'mon, your English can't be that bad. I'm Bulgarian, and I don't have such problems. You probably just need practice. But being a non-native English speaker doesn't meen you should think you're not good. Just be careful and check your edits before submiting them, that is if you don't have editcountitis, of cource. LOL :) And May the Edit be with you. T-borg (drop me a line) 20:11, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Or, just allow others to clarify the grammar when there's a problem. And, being Polish is nobody's fault, no more than it's anyone's fault that I am American. It just happened that way. -- Elaich 01:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
It's irritating when you change something, then they change it and insult you in the process. The person was pretty rude to DietLimeCola's edits, such as telling her her grammar is terrible because she didn't put a comma. Black Kat 13:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

External links

Why isn't there such a section? Like links to the Big Cartoon Database, and the most notable fansite? May the Edit be with you, always. T-borg (drop me a line) 17:30, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Add it. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 20:59, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Elaich

Thanks for editing my trivia on the high amount of cartoony actions the characters made. I was trying to make it sound good but was having a hard time coming-up with a way to word it without constantly repeating the same words. I know that the show is more cartoony than most modern cartoons with their actions, so I felt it was noteworthy. I wanted to add it in the article, but didn't know where to put it where it sounded good. Black Kat 14:07, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I think it's been deleted, but thanks anyway. :) -- Elaich 21:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Vandals Banned from the Library

Today all of them (and a few others) were looking at pornography and Japanese Anime Pornography on the computer at the library (Idiots). (And I was the snitch as well, thought it would be a good idea to get these people off the computer because they arent mature enough to use the web let alone wikipedia.) To log into one of the libraries computers here, you need to type in your number and your password. They banned them all from logging in until the start of the new year in January. Hopefully that will give them some time to grow up, considering most of them don't even have a home computer. So hopefully we'll be seeing alot less vandalism here. DietLimeCola 23:04, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Are you thinking they could've been some of the vandals? Black Kat 13:09, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Read the section of this talk page "What I was trying to do". DietLimeCola 00:40, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Ah, alright...I see now. Yeah, you have to be careful with public computers. I always make sure to sign out of my email when I'm on a public computer. Luckily, I'm usually on my home computer, but just to be sure, I always make sure everything is signed-out so I don't run into the same problem you did. Black Kat 11:30, 01 October 2006 (UTC)
